I want to learn how to make textures, are there any online tutorials or guides which you can point me to ? if i get good enough i would like to submit my work to help the project as it is getting really boring just watching and waiting, i feel the need to help.

thus which websites would be good to get me started, i have psp7 if thats helpful and if not, what other apps can i download or get to use ??

i don't think you'll find an online tutorial on how to be an artist - it seems to come naturally to them. I have the software tools necessary but still can't make anything good with them . . . .

Ive learned Adobe photoshop fairly well with a few web design classes and a truckload of online tutorials.

You could alway try gimp. The windows version crashes a lot but the Linux version is stable.
