 1st Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler History 
 The 1st Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler was formed on March 17 1933 by Josef “Sepp” Dietrich, Hitler’s personal bodyguard. Hitler wants a full-time armed force completely loyal to him. Dietrich handpicked 120 men and were barracked at the Alexander Barracks in Berlin and later at Berlin-Litcherfelde 
 Redesignated SS-Sonderkommando Zossen and the new unit, SS-Sonderkommando Jüterbog were raised. These units merged in September 1933 and designated SS-Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler. The members had to take an oath of loyalty to Hitler on November 9th 1933. It took part in the Night Of The Long Knives
